Gemmiskih Fanno lies on the north side of the island, where the reef turns into a steep wall that drops into the deep. For about half of the year the current here can be strong, and the dive becomes a drift along the wall.
Hard and soft corals attract countless reef fish, fusiliers and rainbow runners. Grey reef and tiger sharks patrol the wall, and oceanic manta rays, thresher sharks and whale sharks are seen here at times.
