Tiger sharks
Our tiger shark
protocol
Respect. Awareness. Control.
Every tiger shark dive follows the same clear protocol, designed to keep divers and sharks safe.
Step by step
The tiger shark
dive protocol
Your guide explains each point in the briefing and is with you during the whole dive.
- 1
Briefing
Behaviour of tiger sharks, signals, positions, entry and exit, and what to do in every situation.
- 2
Positioning
Divers settle on the sand or rubble in an assigned line, close to the guide, keeping arms and hands close to the body.
- 3
During the dive
Stay low and still, watch the sharks without chasing or touching them and follow the guide’s signals at all times.
- 4
Ascent
The group ascends together, watching the water around them, and boards the boat following the crew’s instructions.
- 5
After the dive
Debriefing on the boat: what you saw, how the sharks behaved and your questions.
