Fuvahmulah has no lagoon: the reef starts at the shore and drops into the deep ocean. Hard and soft corals cover the reef top and the walls and are home to a huge variety of life.
On a typical dive you can meet turtles, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, groupers, snappers, and countless colourful reef fish, as well as whitetip and grey reef sharks patrolling the reef.
Good buoyancy protects the corals: keep your fins off the reef and never touch the animals.
