SSI Instructor Trainer | SSI Freediving Instructor Trainer | Scuba Diving Instructor

Born and raised in Fuvahmulah, Valho grew up with the ocean as part of his everyday life, snorkeling in the island’s waters and encountering tiger sharks from an early age. This lifelong connection has given him a deep understanding of their behaviour and of Fuvahmulah’s unique marine environment.

He began his professional scuba diving career in the Maldives and later travelled to Indonesia to complete his professional freediving training. Throughout his career, Valho has worked across the Maldives on liveaboards, resorts and local islands, building extensive knowledge of the country’s dive sites, currents and marine life. Today, he is an SSI Instructor Trainer and the only SSI Freediving Instructor Trainer in the Maldives.

Professional and serious when it matters, Valho is also open, cheerful and naturally easy-going. Always ready to help, always with a smile and a positive attitude, he has a way of making people feel comfortable both in and out of the water. His professionalism, experience and approachable personality make him a highly respected member of the Maldivian diving community.
