Farikede lies on the south side of Fuvahmulah, in a protected marine area. A reef at 10–15 metres sits at the edge of a plateau that drops far deeper, and the current here can be strong, which is why it is a dive for experienced divers.
Reef sharks such as silvertip, whitetip and grey reef sharks patrol the edge, and in season you may also see manta rays and hammerheads in the blue. Stay with your guide, keep to the planned depth and follow the current plan from the briefing.
